Accounting Manager/Supervisor
Responsibilities:
• Direct daily accounting workflows across the general ledger, payables, and receivables functions to support smooth financial operations.
• Oversee the preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and related accounting records to maintain accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate monthly and annual close activities, ensuring reporting deadlines are met and financial data is reliable.
• Produce and examine financial statements and supporting analyses for management review and decision-making.
• Monitor bank and balance sheet reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and ensuring issues are resolved promptly.
• Assist with year-end financial statement preparation and collaborate with external accounting partners during compilation or audit-related activities.
• Manage sales tax, property tax, annual filings, and other compliance submissions in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Strengthen accounting procedures, reinforce internal controls, and recommend process enhancements that improve efficiency and consistency.
• Lead, coach, and develop accounting team members while serving as a point of guidance on complex accounting matters.
• Contribute to broader business initiatives such as acquisitions, process improvement efforts, and system-related projects as needed.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.• At least 5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience in a business environment that requires strong attention to detail.
• Prior experience supervising or managing accounting staff is required.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and core accounting practices, including month-end close and financial statement preparation.
• Demonstrated experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger management.
• Background supporting audits, tax-related filings, and regulatory compliance activities is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a high level of accuracy, discretion, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
