Bookkeeper
Our client in Holyoke, Massachusetts is seeking a Bookkeeper for a contract-to-permanent opportunity. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong organizational skills and experience managing day-to-day financial transactions. The Bookkeeper will play an important role in supporting accurate financial records and helping ensure smooth accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and process daily accounting transactions
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and deposits
- Assist with payroll processing and related recordkeeping
- Maintain expense records and support month-end close activities
- Prepare financial reports and assist with account analysis as needed
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and accurate documentation
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial support experience
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger activity
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with internal teams
Compensation
