Benefits Specialist
We are looking for an experienced Benefits Specialist to support a broad range of people operations. Responsibilities:
• Guide employees and supervisors on workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and employee relations matters with sound judgment.
• Oversee day-to-day HR administration, including maintaining personnel records, processing status changes, and ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Coordinate benefits-related activities such as enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries while helping staff understand available programs.
• Manage onboarding activities for new hires, including pre-employment coordination, orientation support, and completion of required HR paperwork.
• Administer leave of absence processes by tracking requests, communicating requirements, and supporting employees through each stage of the leave cycle.
• Maintain and update HRIS data to support reporting accuracy, employee record integrity, and efficient HR operations.
• Partner with management to resolve employee issues, recommend appropriate actions, and promote a respectful and compliant work environment.
• Prepare HR reports, monitor key employee data, and support audits or process updates related to human resources programs.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of experience in human resources, with hands-on involvement in employee relations and HR administration.• Working knowledge of benefits administration, including employee support for enrollments and plan changes.
• Experience using HRIS platforms to manage employee information and produce accurate records or reports.
• Familiarity with onboarding processes and the coordination of new employee documentation and orientation activities.
• Practical experience handling leave of absence cases with attention to policy, timelines, and confidentiality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees and leadership.
• High level of organization and discretion when managing sensitive personnel information.
Compensation
