Anti Money Laundering Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented AML Specialist to support compliance efforts related to anti-money laundering regulations and financial crime prevention. This role is responsible for reviewing transactions, investigating suspicious activity, conducting due diligence, and helping ensure adherence to applicable federal and state compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and review customer transactions for unusual or suspicious activity
• Conduct AML investigations and document findings clearly and accurately
• Perform customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) reviews
• Escalate potentially suspicious activity and assist with SAR preparation as needed
• Maintain accurate case files and compliance documentation
• Support sanctions screening and watchlist reviews
• Partner with internal teams to ensure compliance with AML, KYC, and related policies
• Assist with internal audits, regulatory exams, and policy updates
• Stay current on AML regulations, trends, and best practices

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Criminal Justice, Business, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of AML, compliance, fraud, risk, or financial crimes experience preferred
• Knowledge of BSA/AML regulations, KYC, CDD, and SAR processes
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and strong written communication skills
• Experience with transaction monitoring systems and case management tools preferred
• CAMS certification is a plus
