Senior AI Software Engineer

Robert Half is partnering with a large technology-driven organization seeking a Senior AI Software Engineer to join a growing team focused on developing and scaling enterprise AI solutions. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who has successfully delivered AI-powered applications into production and enjoys solving complex business problems through software engineering, automation, and modern AI technologies. The position offers exposure to high-impact initiatives that support innovation, operational efficiency, and technology transformation across the organization.

Qualifications:

Responsibilities Design, develop, and support production AI applications Build scalable software solutions using Python and modern engineering practices Develop intelligent workflows that automate business and technology processes Partner with technical and business stakeholders to identify high-value use cases Improve application performance, reliability, and scalability Develop reusable tools, components, and frameworks Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews Support adoption of emerging AI capabilities across multiple teams Requirements 6+ years of detail oriented software engineering experience Strong Python development experience Experience building and deploying AI-enabled applications in production environments Experience integrating large language models into software solutions Experience designing distributed or cloud-based applications Strong understanding of APIs, software architecture, and modern development practices Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively across teams Preferred Qualifications Experience with enterprise-scale software platforms Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or GCP Experience developing automation solutions and intelligent workflows Experience supporting AI initiatives within large organizations Experience mentoring developers or contributing to technical standards Compensation Base Salary: $180,000 - $200,000 Annual Bonus Opportunity: 7.5% Work Schedule permanent Hybrid work environment for candidates located near a Texas office location Travel may be required for candidates located outside the immediate area Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Flexible paid time off Paid holidays Parental leave detail oriented development opportunities Additional wellness and employee support programs
