AML Analyst

Denver, CO 80202, US Temporary
Compensation: $30 to $35 Hourly

The AML Analyst is responsible for monitoring, investigating, and analyzing customer transactions to identify suspicious activity and ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), OFAC, and other applicable regulatory requirements. This role supports the organization's financial crime prevention efforts by conducting due diligence reviews, investigating alerts, and escalating potential risks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and review transaction activity for potential money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and other financial crimes.
  • Investigate AML alerts generated through transaction monitoring systems and conduct detailed analyses of customer activity.
  • Perform Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) reviews for new and existing customers.
  • Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) investigations for high-risk customers and entities.
  • Document investigative findings clearly and accurately in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Escalate suspicious activities and assist with the preparation of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) when appropriate.
  • Review sanctions screening results and support compliance with OFAC regulations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of AML/BSA regulations, industry trends, and emerging financial crime typologies.
  • Collaborate with compliance, risk, legal, operations, and business teams to resolve investigations and mitigate risks.
  • Support regulatory examinations, audits, and internal compliance reviews.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Economics, or a related field.

1-5+ years of experience in AML, BSA, KYC, compliance, fraud investigations, risk management, or financial services.

Experience reviewing transaction monitoring alerts and conducting investigations preferred.

Knowledge of AML regulations, BSA requirements, OFAC sanctions, and financial crime compliance programs.


Compensation

$30.00-$35.00 Hourly
