Recruiter - Construction Company

A growing construction company in Oceanside is looking for a Recruiter to help build its field and corporate workforce. This role is ideal for a recruiter who enjoys a fast-moving environment and knows that recruiting in construction requires more than posting a job and waiting for applications.

You'll partner closely with Project Managers, Operations leadership, and hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop candidate pipelines for both skilled and administrative positions.

What you'll recruit for

• Skilled trades and field personnel
• Project and construction administration
• Project Coordinators
• Safety and compliance positions
• Operations support
• Accounting and administrative positions
• Other corporate and field openings as needed

Your responsibilities

• Develop active candidate pipelines for recurring construction positions
• Source candidates through job boards, social platforms, referrals, and networking
• Write and refresh compelling job advertisements
• Conduct initial phone and video interviews
• Evaluate candidates based on experience, qualifications, and project needs
• Coordinate interviews with hiring managers
• Maintain consistent communication with candidates
• Track recruiting activity and pipeline status
• Partner with Operations to forecast upcoming hiring needs
• Attend career fairs, networking events, and recruiting activities
• Build relationships with trade schools and industry organizations
• Coordinate offers and pre-employment requirements
• Monitor time-to-fill and recruiting activity
• Help strengthen the company's employer brand and candidate experience

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of recruiting experience
• Construction, engineering, skilled trades, or industrial recruiting experience strongly preferred
• Proven ability to source passive candidates
• Comfortable working on multiple requisitions simultaneously
• Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills
• Excellent communication and follow-through
• Experience with an ATS and major job boards
• Ability to work effectively with hiring managers and field leadership
• High-volume recruiting experience is a plus
