HR Generalist
You're the HR person employees actually come to.
A growing professional services organization in Oceanside is looking for an HR Generalist to support employees and leadership across the full employee lifecycle.
This is a hands-on HR opportunity for someone who enjoys variety. One day could involve onboarding a new employee, another could involve answering a benefits question, updating an employee record, assisting with recruiting, and helping leadership navigate an employee relations issue.
The ideal candidate is approachable and solutions-oriented while also understanding the importance of confidentiality, compliance, and accurate documentation.
You'll support
đź‘‹ Employee Onboarding: Coordinate new-hire paperwork, onboarding schedules, I-9s, background checks, and employee setup.
đź“‹ HR Administration: Maintain personnel records and ensure employee information stays accurate.
đź’¬ Employee Support: Serve as a resource for questions related to policies, benefits, timekeeping, and workplace processes.
🎯 Recruiting: Assist hiring managers with job postings, candidate coordination, interviews, and offers.
Responsibilities
- Manage new-hire and onboarding processes
- Maintain confidential personnel files and HR records
- Assist with recruiting and interview coordination
- Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies and procedures
- Support benefits administration
- Assist with leave and accommodation documentation
- Review timekeeping information and coordinate corrections
- Prepare HR reports and employee documentation
- Assist with performance management processes
- Support employee relations investigations when needed
- Ensure HR practices align with applicable California requirements
- Assist with policy updates and employee communications
- Partner with payroll and management on employee changes
- Support HR projects and process improvements
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of progressive HR experience
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of California employment practices and HR compliance
- Experience with HRIS systems
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High level of discretion and confidentiality
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certification is a plus
Compensation
