Cash Application Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to join our finance team at our headquarters in Boca Raton, FL. This role is responsible for posting and reconciling incoming payments, researching payment discrepancies, and supporting accounts receivable operations to ensure accurate and timely cash application.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply customer payments accurately and timely through checks, ACH, wires, lockbox, and credit card transactions
• Reconcile daily cash receipts to bank activity and customer accounts
• Research and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, overpayments, and deductions
• Work closely with accounts receivable, collections, and customer service teams to resolve remittance issues
• Maintain accurate records of payment activity and supporting documentation
• Assist with month-end close, cash reporting, and account reconciliations
• Review and monitor aging of unapplied cash balances
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of cash application, accounts receivable, or related accounting experience
• Strong understanding of payment posting, reconciliations, and cash receipts processing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced corporate environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a high-volume corporate or shared services environment
• ERP system experience such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
