Collection Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business-to-Business Collector to manage commercial accounts receivable and collections activity for our Boca Raton, FL office. This role is responsible for contacting business customers regarding past-due balances, resolving payment issues, and helping reduce aging while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of business accounts with past-due balances
• Contact customers by phone and email to collect outstanding invoices
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, and disputes
• Work closely with accounts receivable, sales, and customer service teams to resolve account issues
• Monitor aging reports and prioritize collection efforts based on account status
• Document all collection activity, customer communications, and payment commitments
• Reconcile accounts and assist with cash application questions as needed
• Escalate high-risk or severely delinquent accounts when appropriate
• Support month-end reporting and accounts receivable cleanup efforts
• Maintain professionalism and strong customer service during all collection interactions

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of commercial collections or business-to-business accounts receivable experience
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Experience with accounting or ERP systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a high-volume collections environment
• Knowledge of credit and collections procedures
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
