We are seeking an experienced Communication Strategist to support the Office of STEM Engagement at Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. This role is responsible for developing and executing integrated communication strategies that advance NASA's mission, priorities, and STEM engagement goals. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and skilled writer who can convey complex scientific and technical concepts clearly and cohesively across diverse audiences and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a broad range of communication initiatives and outreach activities focused on NASA STEM programs.
- Develop, implement, and integrate key messages across communication products that educate, inform, and strengthen relationships with NASA stakeholders.
- Conduct research and support communication strategy development, planning, message management, and the execution of communication products.
- Write and edit communication materials and STEM curricula aligned with NASA mission content and OSTEM objectives.
- Support student programs and engage with participants in public and outreach settings.
- Create and integrate communication plans for use across various digital and traditional platforms.
- Produce routine and ad hoc reports for management and customers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, writing, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong writing and editing skills with proficiency in AP style.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of communication products with competing priorities.

- Available to travel occasionally as needed.
