The Division of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to support an NIH-funded R01 investigating the mechanisms of interferonopathy. The successful Candidate will perform functional assays of disease-causing variants in murine models and human cells, including molecular and cellular assays across transfected/transduced cell lines and primary immune cells (PBMCs, macrophages) and murine neuroinflammation and infection models. Responsibilities include CRISPR-based engineering strategies for serial and combinatorial variant knock-in, confocal microscopy and advanced imaging, and murine models of neuroinflammation Candidates should hold a PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, or a related field with demonstrated experience in mammalian cell culture, molecular cloning, and functional cellular assays. Experience with mouse models of inflammation and gene editing of primary cells preferred.
