Databricks Full stack Developer
Description
We are seeking a Junior-to-Mid Level Databricks Full Stack Developer / Software Engineer with a strong focus on backend development, APIs, AWS, and large-scale data environments. The ideal candidate will primarily develop in Python and work with cloud-based data platforms such as Databricks, while contributing to the broader application stack as needed.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs, primarily using Python.
- Develop and integrate APIs across AWS, Databricks, databases, and other systems.
- Support applications and data environments involving large-scale datasets, including terabyte- and petabyte-scale environments.
- Develop and support multi-tenant applications, with consideration for scalability, security, and data isolation.
- Design and support event-driven systems, including asynchronous processing, messaging, and event-based workflows.
- Work with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar cloud data platforms.
- Troubleshoot and optimize application, API, data, and cloud performance.
- Contribute to front-end development using JavaScript/TypeScript and ReactJS as needed.
- Participate in Agile development, code reviews, testing, documentation, and CI/CD practices.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools, particularly GitHub Copilot, to improve development productivity and code quality.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- 4+ years of software development experience or equivalent demonstrated technical experience.
- Must have 3+ years of Databricks experience to be considered
- Hands-on experience with Python, APIs, and cloud-based applications or data environments.
- Experience working with large or complex datasets.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance
Be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person who has lived in the United States for the past three consecutive years.
All candidates supporting the CMS programs must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years prior in order to be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Production experience with AWS and Databricks.
- Experience with petabyte-scale data, multi-tenant architectures, and event-driven applications.
- Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and ReactJS.
- Experience with Docker, Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and application monitoring.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
