Material Handler
Job Description:
Coordinate with Packing and Outside Processing to ensure orders are shipped on time. Communicate with Customer Service, Quality, and other departments as necessary to meet customer requirements as outlined on pick sheet.
Prepare incoming product from packing for daily shipment and ship outgoing materials, products or supplies.
Verify items to be shipped and check against picking lists, recording all pertinent information (quantities, cartons, lot numbers, etc.).
Notify proper personnel of discrepancies.
Strap and stretch wrap cartons to pallets in preparation for shipment.
Label with proper address labels, including special labels, when required.
Apply proper documents to shipments, including export paperwork if required.
Prepare material certs and necessary documents which accompany packing lists, when required.
Fill in at Receiving and Outside Processing as necessary.
Maintain inventory of shipping supplies; inform supervisor on levels as needed.
Generate packaging slips, other necessary paperwork, and load trucks.
Maintain FIFO order throughout the shop
Learn & utilize our labeling system proficiently to maintain product traceability.
Follow all procedures as outlined in the ITW Drawform Quality System.
Follow all safety and environmental policies and procedures of ITW Drawform.
Additional duties as required.
Qualifications
High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
Able to lift approximately 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with using teams messaging, ability to use scanners, print labels from a computer, and basic screen look up in manufacturing system such as QAD.
Previous Industrial Hilo experience with emphasis on safety and proficiency.
Compensation Information:
$25–$32/hour
