Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations for an entertainment organization in Miami, Florida.

• Record and review journal entries to maintain the accuracy of the general ledger and supporting schedules.

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring transactions are processed correctly and on schedule.

• Perform bank and account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items promptly.

• Assist with month-end close by preparing account analyses, supporting documentation, and financial summaries.

• Produce routine financial reports and help verify the completeness and reliability of accounting data.

• Support tax-related activities, including sales tax tracking, corporate tax preparation support, and related filings documentation.

• Work within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or comparable systems such as Navision, Dynamics GP, or similar ERP platforms to manage accounting transactions.

• Contribute to purchasing, billing, and inventory-related accounting processes as needed to support business operations.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role with responsibility for general ledger activity and reconciliations.

• Working knowledge of corporate tax, sales tax, and documentation supporting corporate tax return preparation.

• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and maintaining accurate financial records.

• Hands-on experience completing bank reconciliations and resolving account variances.

• Familiarity with ERP accounting systems, including Dynamics 365 Business Central, Navision, or Great Plains Dynamics.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a contract role while meeting deadlines with strong attention to detail.

• Solid understanding of standard accounting principles and month-end closing procedures.
