Network Engineer
Responsibilities:
• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise network solutions that improve stability, scalability, and overall service performance across distributed sites.
• Investigate complex network incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to restore and strengthen operations.
• Create technical designs, architecture documentation, and standardized procedures to support consistent network implementation and governance.
• Assess new networking tools and platforms through testing, validation, and pilot activities before broader adoption.
• Administer and optimize core technologies including routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, and software-defined networking components.
• Establish and maintain configuration backup, change tracking, and version control practices for network devices and related systems.
• Work closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver integrated solutions aligned with operational and business objectives.
• Manage vendor and service provider relationships, including coordination for equipment, support services, and third-party technical engagements.
• Contribute to infrastructure modernization efforts and support network integration activities tied to business expansion or organizational change.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.• At least 7 years of network engineering experience within enterprise environments supporting multiple locations.
• Strong hands-on background with Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switching platforms, and wireless solutions.
• Experience administering security platforms such as Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco ASA in complex production environments.
• Solid understanding of core networking protocols and concepts, including BGP, VLANs, subnetting, trunking, QoS, and high-availability design.
• Familiarity with cloud networking and hybrid connectivity, including platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot large-scale network issues and support globally distributed, highly available environments.
• Industry-recognized Cisco certification or a comparable networking credential is required.
Compensation
