Accounts Receivable Manager

Danvers, MA 01923, US Temporary
Compensation: $39.59 to $45.84 Hourly

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to support financial operations for a Contract position based in Wilmington, Massachusetts. This role will oversee receivables activity, strengthen collection efforts, and help ensure accurate billing and cash flow visibility across the business. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in commercial accounts receivable, customer account management, and reporting within a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

• Oversee customer receivable accounts to promote prompt payment and reduce outstanding balances across assigned portfolios.

• Partner with customers to address invoice questions, resolve payment discrepancies, and establish practical repayment arrangements when needed.

• Track aging trends, follow up on overdue accounts, and measure collection performance against recurring financial goals.

• Produce regular reporting related to collections, projected cash receipts, account balances, reserves, credit adjustments, and write-off activity.

• Evaluate customer credit standing, maintain supporting documentation, respond to credit reference requests, and assist with onboarding new accounts.

• Direct daily billing operations for multiple sites, including portal-based invoicing, direct-ship transactions, and project-related billing needs.

• Apply daily credit card activity, reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis, and support accurate recording of cash movements.

• Maintain customer and invoice data within collection platforms and online portals while ensuring records remain current and accurate.

• Prepare weekly backlog and bookings summaries for leadership and contribute to ad hoc accounting analysis and operational projects.

• Manage cash drawer opening and closing procedures while upholding required controls and documentation standards.


Qualifications:

• Proven experience leading accounts receivable, billing, and commercial collections activities.
• Strong knowledge of AR aging analysis, cash applications, payment tracking, and account reconciliation.
• Ability to investigate billing disputes, communicate professionally with customers, and drive timely resolution of outstanding issues.
• Experience preparing financial and operational reports, including collection forecasts and account status updates.
• Familiarity with customer portals, online invoicing tools, and collection management systems.
• Working knowledge of credit reviews, credit memos, write-offs, and customer account setup processes.
• Background supporting finance operations within product-based, distribution, or manufacturing environments is preferred.

Compensation

$39.59-$45.84 Hourly
