Reconciliation Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Reconciliation Specialist to support financial accuracy and reporting for a contract position based in Shreveport, Louisiana. This role focuses on reviewing transactions, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring accounts are balanced in a timely manner. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with high volumes of financial data and maintaining precise records in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily reviews of financial activity to verify that bank and account balances align with internal records.

• Investigate unmatched transactions, research variances, and resolve discrepancies with accuracy and urgency.

• Complete bank account and credit card reconciliations while maintaining clear audit-ready documentation.

• Monitor recurring reconciliation issues and communicate findings to the appropriate stakeholders for correction.

• Prepare summary reports that highlight outstanding items, reconciliation status, and key exceptions.

• Maintain organized records of reconciliations and supporting materials to ensure compliance with financial controls.

Qualifications:

• Experience handling bank reconciliations and account balancing activities in a detail-focused setting.
• Working knowledge of bank account reconciliation processes and daily financial review procedures.
• Background reconciling credit card transactions and researching account discrepancies.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage large volumes of transactional data accurately.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial systems used for reconciliation and reporting.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and coordinating resolutions.

Compensation

$24.00-$26.00 Hourly
