Sr. Financial Analyst

Compensation: $50 to $65 Hourly

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support high-impact planning, reporting, and performance analysis for a Scientific Instrument Manufacturing organization. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a finance specialist who can turn operational and financial data into meaningful insights that guide business decisions. The role will contribute across forecasting, cash management, executive reporting, and budgeting while helping improve reporting efficiency through modern analytics and automation tools.

Responsibilities:
• Analyze global sales activity and order backlog trends, delivering reporting that goes beyond data compilation to highlight risks, patterns, and forward-looking business insights.
• Produce and circulate a weekly 13-week cash flow outlook, maintaining accuracy in Excel-based models while identifying opportunities to simplify and automate the process.
• Lead the ongoing rolling forecast cycle using Workday Adaptive Planning, ensuring timely updates and alignment with current business performance.
• Develop monthly financial reporting packages and executive-level analysis for stakeholders, including clear presentation materials in PowerPoint.
• Support the annual budgeting process by gathering inputs, validating assumptions, and helping consolidate financial plans across the business.
• Create financial presentations and ad hoc analyses for leadership to support planning discussions, operating reviews, and strategic decision-making.
• Evaluate reporting workflows and recommend AI-driven or system-enabled improvements that increase speed, consistency, and analytical value.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to strengthen financial visibility across operations, revenue performance, and planning activities.

Qualifications:

• Strong background in corporate FP& A with hands-on experience in financial planning, forecasting, and performance reporting.
• Proficiency with Workday Adaptive Planning and Oracle in a financial analysis or planning environment.
• Experience using business intelligence and reporting platforms such as Power BI or Tableau to build actionable insights.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare cash flow forecasts, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and ad hoc financial evaluations.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manage complex models and reporting schedules.
• Strong communication skills with experience preparing presentations and financial materials for senior leadership or investors.
• Manufacturing industry experience is preferred, particularly in environments with operational and commercial performance analysis.

Compensation

$50.00-$65.00 Hourly
