Audit Manager

Atlanta, GA 30339, US Temporary
Compensation: $50 to $60 Hourly

We are looking for an experienced Audit Manager to support information systems and broader audit initiatives for a tax consulting environment. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who can lead audit activities, strengthen risk oversight, and deliver clear reporting to stakeholders. The role requires a balanced background in operational, financial, and systems-focused auditing, along with strong organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the planning and execution of audit engagements across information systems, financial processes, and operational activities.
• Develop risk-based audit scopes, timelines, and schedules to ensure reviews are completed thoroughly and efficiently.
• Oversee the preparation of audit workpapers, findings, and formal reports that clearly communicate observations and recommendations.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather documentation, evaluate controls, and assess compliance with established policies and standards.
• Manage multiple engagements at once, track progress against deadlines, and adjust priorities to meet business needs.
• Analyze audit results to identify control gaps, process weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
• Use Microsoft Excel and related tools to organize data, support testing activities, and present audit results in a concise format.
• Provide guidance throughout the audit lifecycle, from initial planning through final reporting and follow-up activities.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience managing audit engagements within information systems, financial audit, or operational audit environments.
• Strong knowledge of audit methodology, including planning, testing, documentation, reporting, and scheduling.
• Background in evaluating internal controls, identifying risks, and recommending practical corrective actions.
• Ability to produce clear, well-structured audit reports for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data review, analysis, and reporting support.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a deadline-driven setting.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills to support cross-functional audit coordination.
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) credential is strongly preferred.

Compensation

$50.00-$60.00 Hourly
