Dawoud Kazimee with Robert Half is searching for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a financial services organization in Vancouver, Washington. This position supports a complex fund environment and plays an important role in budgeting, financial reporting, and the preparation and review of financial statements. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting judgment, enjoys solving nuanced problems, and works effectively with colleagues across multiple teams.


Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements for a broad portfolio of funds, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.

• Support budgeting activities by analyzing financial results, developing forecasts, and helping business partners understand key trends.

• Produce recurring and ad hoc financial reports that provide meaningful insight to stakeholders and support informed decision-making.

• Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances, resolving issues through thoughtful analysis and sound accounting judgment.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to gather information, clarify reporting needs, and coordinate deliverables across a multi-fund structure.

• Apply critical thinking to complex accounting matters, identifying practical solutions in situations that extend beyond routine transactional work.

• Help maintain strong financial controls and consistent reporting practices across approximately 50 funds.

• Contribute to financial review processes by evaluating supporting schedules, validating data, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of accounting experience in both public accounting (audit side) and corporate accounting within a large/complex organization.

• Background in audit, financial statement preparation, or financial statement review.

• Experience with reconciliations, reporting analysis, and month-end or periodic close activities.

• Familiarity with fund accounting and the accounting considerations common to investment-related entities.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex issues and make well-reasoned recommendations.

• Collaborative communication style and the ability to work effectively with multiple departments and stakeholders.

$100,000.00-$135,000.00 Yearly
