Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Compensation: $120 to $150 Yearly

We are looking for an experienced accounting leader to oversee core financial operations and ensure accurate, timely reporting for the organization. This role is based in Costa Mesa, California, and will guide day-to-day accounting activities while strengthening controls, supporting compliance, and delivering financial insight to leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, a proactive approach to process improvement, and the ability to manage reporting cycles, audits, and regulatory obligations with confidence.

Responsibilities:
• Lead daily accounting functions across billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, the general ledger, cost accounting, and revenue recognition activities.
• Direct the budgeting and forecasting process, track performance against plan, and explain material variances to leadership.
• Oversee month-end close activities and issue accurate monthly financial statements within established deadlines.
• Maintain high standards for financial reporting by reviewing transactions, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Establish, refine, and document accounting procedures and internal control practices to reduce risk and support reliable reporting.
• Ensure timely completion of tax filings and other required reporting at the local, state, and federal levels.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and coordinate audit preparation, requests, and follow-up items.
• Evaluate financial results, identify trends or issues, and provide practical recommendations to support business decisions and financial planning.
• Partner with leadership on broader finance initiatives, including planning, risk assessment, and operational improvements as needed.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience leading accounting operations in a manager- or supervisor-level role.
• Strong working knowledge of month-end close, general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
• Experience preparing financial statements and supporting financial statement audits.
• Understanding of accounting controls, compliance requirements, and GAAP-based reporting practices.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines related to reporting, budgeting, audits, and tax obligations.
• Proficiency with Sage Intacct or similar accounting software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to leadership.

Compensation

$120,000.00-$150,000.00 Yearly
