Accounting Manager/Supervisor
Responsibilities:
• Produce monthly financial reports on schedule and ensure entries are complete, accurate, and properly documented.
• Manage general ledger activity, including the review and approval of journal entries related to payroll, credit cards, and other recurring transactions.
• Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and analyze profit and loss results to identify variances and recommend corrective action.
• Partner with accounts payable and other internal teams to improve the accuracy of invoices, payments, accruals, and related reporting.
• Support month-end close activities by coordinating deadlines, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining organized supporting schedules.
• Assist leadership with audit preparation, tax-related requests, and other compliance-driven accounting needs.
• Investigate unusual account activity, communicate findings clearly, and help implement practical resolutions.
• Provide day-to-day guidance to accounting team members and encourage consistent, high-quality work across processes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.• At least 5 years of accounting experience, including work as a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager with general ledger responsibility.
• Strong understanding of month-end close, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement review.
• Experience supporting audits and preparing documentation for external reporting requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications in a Windows environment.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
• Experience in skilled nursing or familiarity with Great Plains is preferred.
Compensation
