Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

Compensation: $100 to $120 Yearly

Job Summary

Our Pittsburgh-area engineering client is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee core finance and accounting functions and support overall business performance. This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, leading the month-end close process, overseeing budgeting and forecasting, and providing financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid background in accounting and financial reporting, and the ability to partner with senior leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily finance and accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial analysis
  • Lead the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Prepare and review monthly reconciliations and ensure intercompany transactions are properly recorded and balanced
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior leadership
  • Lead the annual budget process and manage ongoing forecasting for revenue, cash collections, profit and loss, and working capital
  • Provide weekly reporting and forecasts related to shipments and orders
  • Analyze key business drivers, trends, profitability, and operational performance, and present findings to management
  • Partner with senior leadership to support business planning and strategic initiatives
  • Help improve and streamline finance and accounting processes
  • Support financial controls, capital expenditure processes, and supplier/customer contract review
  • Ensure financial systems and reporting processes remain compliant with U.S. GAAP and internal control requirements
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop finance staff, including performance management and ongoing coaching
  • Assist with special projects and additional responsibilities as needed



Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of related finance and accounting experience
  • Experience in manufacturing is a plus
  • Familiarity with project-based accounting
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including experience working with large datasets from multiple systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and operational teams



Compensation

$100,000.00-$120,000.00 Yearly
