Remote L&E Attorney - Immigration
We are seeking an experienced employment based immigration attorney for a long-term contract opportunity serving a Law Firm based in Long Beach, California from a Fully Remote setting. This role is ideal for a senior legal specialist who can guide employers and foreign nationals through complex employment-based immigration matters while delivering practical, business-focused counsel. The attorney will play a key role in managing high-level case strategy, maintaining exceptional work quality, and providing trusted advice in a fast-paced practice.
Responsibilities:
• Lead a diverse caseload involving employment immigration and global mobility matters for corporate and individual clients.
• Counsel clients on immigration options, compliance obligations, case strategy, and methods to reduce legal and operational risk.
• Direct the preparation and filing of work visa petitions, transfer-based cases, treaty matters, permanent residence applications, labor certification filings, and investor-related submissions.
• Review and finalize legal documents, supporting letters, and government filings to ensure precision, completeness, and consistency across all matters.
• Monitor updates in immigration regulations, adjudication patterns, and agency guidance, then translate those changes into practical recommendations for clients.
• Serve as a senior point of contact for clients by building strong relationships and offering clear, responsive legal guidance.
• Manage multiple active matters simultaneously while maintaining deadlines and high service standards in a remote work environment.
Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.• Active bar membership in good standing.
• At least 10 years of experience practicing business immigration, employment-based immigration, or closely related legal work.
• Strong background handling visas, visa petitions, and other employment-related immigration filings.
• Excellent legal drafting, research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience using legal research tools and case or matter management systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex matters with sound judgment, strong organization, and close attention to detail.
• Proven effectiveness working in a deadline-driven remote setting with clear and thorough communication.
Compensation
