Certification & Compliance Specialist

Compensation: $40 to $43 Hourly

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented FAA Certification & Compliance Specialist to support certification and compliance activities for regulated aviation maintenance positions.


This role is responsible for coordinating FAA certificate applications, scheduling FAA interviews, verifying employee qualifications and training, and maintaining certification records. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing detailed workflows, handling regulated documentation, and identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.


Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate FAA certificate applications for employees in regulated maintenance roles.
  • Schedule and coordinate FAA interviews related to certification applications.
  • Verify employee identity, qualifications, training records, and required documentation.
  • Manage and maintain repairman certificates and associated certification records.
  • Ensure employees complete required training and maintain appropriate certifications before performing regulated work.
  • Track certification workflows from application through completion, ensuring all steps are completed accurately and on time.
  • Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams supporting maintenance operations, employee records, training, and compliance programs.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation using Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, and other tracking tools.
  • Communicate with employees and stakeholders regarding certification requirements, documentation needs, and status updates.
  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in current certification processes and recommend improvements.
  • Take ownership of assigned workflows and ensure work is completed accurately within established timelines.
  • Support additional certification, regulatory, and compliance-related activities as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of professional experience in a compliance, certification, administrative, records management, or related role.
  • Experience supporting FAA certification processes or other regulated certification programs.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing detailed documentation, records, or compliance workflows.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and email communication tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace, aviation, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with airline crew records, maintenance records, certifications, or compliance programs.
  • Experience supporting HR, licensing, credentialing, certification, or regulatory processes.
  • Experience working in FAA-regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations or aviation programs.
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Experience handling sensitive or highly regulated employee records.

Compensation

$40.00-$43.00 Hourly
