Paralegal
Responsibilities:
• Oversee a portfolio of personal injury cases from initial intake through settlement or further litigation, keeping each matter organized and progressing on schedule.
• Prepare a wide range of legal documents, including client correspondence, demand submissions, pleadings, discovery materials, subpoenas, and settlement-related paperwork.
• Gather, organize, and analyze medical records, billing statements, and other supporting documentation needed to develop and evaluate claims.
• Track filing dates, procedural deadlines, and key case events while assisting attorneys with court submissions, depositions, mediations, and trial readiness.
• Serve as a consistent point of contact for clients, insurance representatives, healthcare providers, and opposing counsel to support timely communication and case updates.
• Maintain complete and accurate case files in the firm’s management systems, ensuring records, calendars, and documentation remain current and reliable.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of plaintiff-side personal injury paralegal experience, including work on both pre-litigation and litigation matters.• Working knowledge of California court rules, filing practices, and litigation procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to assemble demand packages and provide support through trial preparation activities.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and case priorities effectively.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients and legal stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and legal case management software.
Compensation
