Cloud Engineer/Administrator

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer/Administrator to support and enhance enterprise infrastructure for a client. This opportunity is ideal for a senior-level candidate who can manage a well-established Nutanix environment while helping shape cloud modernization efforts within a Microsoft-focused organization. The role combines hands-on platform administration, operational support, and strategic involvement in Azure-based transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and optimize a production Nutanix environment that supports essential business operations and high-availability infrastructure needs.

• Provide advanced support for complex infrastructure issues, serving as a senior escalation point for Tier 3 incidents across cloud and on-premises systems.

• Lead and support Azure administration activities, including planning and executing workload modernization and migration efforts where appropriate.

• Manage Microsoft 365 and identity services, including access control, authentication, and directory-related administration.

• Develop and maintain disaster recovery, backup, and resiliency practices to protect critical systems and data.

• Collaborate on enterprise infrastructure design, capacity planning, and performance improvements across hybrid environments.

• Support network and firewall coordination to ensure secure connectivity between platforms, users, and cloud services.

• Document system configurations, operational procedures, and technical recommendations to improve stability and support continuity.

Qualifications:

• Strong experience administering Nutanix in an enterprise environment.

• Proven background supporting Microsoft Azure, including cloud deployment, administration, and migration activities.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Enterprise and identity management technologies such as Entra ID.

• Ability to provide Tier 3 infrastructure support and resolve complex production issues.

• Knowledge of disaster recovery strategies, backup operations, and business continuity planning.

• Broad understanding of enterprise infrastructure components, including compute, storage, virtualization, and networking.

• Familiarity with firewall and network concepts that support secure hybrid cloud operations.

• Exposure to additional cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
