Paralegal
Responsibilities:
• Oversee client files through each stage of the estate planning process, ensuring records are current and tasks are completed within established timelines.
• Coordinate consultations, document signings, and follow-up meetings while maintaining an organized schedule for both clients and attorneys.
• Prepare preliminary estate planning documents and assemble materials needed for attorney review and execution.
• Maintain attorney calendars, track key deadlines, and update case-related dates to support timely action on all matters.
• Communicate with attorneys regarding new client matters to gather direction, clarify next steps, and support efficient case planning.
• Scan, electronically file, and organize legal documents with courts and internal records systems in accordance with case schedules.
• Respond to client questions professionally and assist with scheduling, status updates, and general correspondence throughout representation.
Qualifications:
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies.• Florida Registered Paralegal or comparable certification preferred.
• Prior experience in estate planning, probate, or estate administration is strongly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and legal staff.
• Excellent organizational abilities and close attention to detail in document handling and deadline management.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach when working with older clients and their families.
• Experience using case management software, calendaring tools, and electronic filing systems.
• Notary Public credential preferred.
Compensation
