Attorney/Lawyer

Robert Half is partnering with a law firm in Seattle, WA to identify a Litigation Attorney who is ready to IMMEDIATELY jump in to assist and possibly join their team. This role is well suited to a licensed attorney who can step into active matters with minimal ramp-up time and manage work independently. The position offers the opportunity to handle a broad range of litigation and pre-suit tasks while working closely with legal teams, clients, and outside counsel.

Responsibilities:

• Manage an active caseload involving litigation and related pre-litigation matters from initial review through ongoing case progression.
• Prepare well-reasoned legal documents, including motions, briefs, demand letters, and related correspondence tailored to each matter.
• Conduct legal research to support case strategy, procedural decisions, and written advocacy.
• Oversee discovery activities by drafting requests and responses, reviewing materials, and helping develop case positions.
• Handle pre-suit issues such as evaluating claims, responding to demands, and assisting with early resolution efforts when appropriate.
• Communicate professionally with opposing counsel regarding case developments, negotiations, scheduling, and dispute resolution.
• Maintain organized case files, time entries, and matter updates using tools such as Microsoft Office and Clio.
• Contribute immediately to ongoing litigation work with limited supervision and strong day-to-day ownership of assigned matters.

Qualifications:

• Active license to practice law in Washington state and in good standing.
• 2+ YOE in litigation with the ability to work effectively in an active case environment.

The salary range for this position is $75-90/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
