Full Charge Bookkeeper
For the bookkeeper who wants to be the person trusted with the entire financial picture.
A private investment and real estate organization in Rancho Santa Fe is looking for a Full Charge Bookkeeper to oversee the day-to-day accounting for multiple entities and investment-related activities. This isn't a basic bookkeeping position. You'll have visibility into cash flow, reconciliations, financial reporting, vendor activity, and month-end close, while working closely with ownership and outside accounting professionals.
đź’° What you'll take ownership of
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple business entities
- Maintain accurate general ledger activity
- Complete monthly bank and investment account reconciliations
- Record and categorize income and expenses
- Manage AP and AR transactions
- Prepare recurring financial statements
- Monitor cash balances and upcoming obligations
- Maintain fixed asset and prepaid schedules
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Assist with monthly and year-end close
- Coordinate with external CPA and tax professionals
- Research unusual transactions and account discrepancies
- Maintain highly organized financial documentation
- Support budgeting, cash-flow tracking, and ad hoc financial reporting
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience
- Strong understanding of accrual and cash-basis accounting
- Experience handling multiple entities preferred
- Advanced QuickBooks experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Comfortable performing reconciliations independently
- Experience preparing financial statements
- Exceptional discretion when working with confidential financial information
- Real estate, investment, family office, or professional-services experience is a plus
Compensation
