This position isnot a remote position and requires candidates to reside within commutingdistance to downtown New Orleans.

Job Summary:

The Cost Control Specialist is responsible forsupporting project teams by performing cost control activities for a portfolioof large projects. Responsibilities willinclude validating and reporting project costs, incorporating trends orapproved changes, and providing financial forecasts for assigned projects.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with all relevant project and disciplinepersonnel to prepare project cost expectations and tracking tools;

Understand all relevant project documents pertainingto the preparation of cost control plans and reports;

Ensuring the integrity of accounting information andproviding analytical services for utility projects;

Monitoring, maintaining, and completing key reportsand providing analytical functions towards capital projects utilizing data andother critical deliverables;

Collecting, evaluating, and reporting Capital budget,project cost, work order closings and variance reporting;

Initiate, monitor, maintain and close out of capitalwork orders;

Create and analyze capital budgets, financialforecasts, reporting of actual financial results and variance explanations;

Work with accounting on reconciling invoices;

Assists in the preparation of accruals;

Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

Requires a High-School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor's degreepreferred

Ten (10) years of experience as a project cost analyst or similarrole

Requires a working knowledge of cost control software and theability to learn new software platforms quickly

Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Office software (Word,Powerpoint, etc.)

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Have attention to detail

Ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels

Availability and the ability to work on multiple projectssimultaneously

Availability and ability to travel to client sites on occasion

Availability and ability to work overtime as needed based onproject

Working Conditions:

Interaction with other team members, as well assupervisors and client personnel

May be required to travel out of town on a periodicbasis to obtain project field data or attend project meetings

Field duties may require outdoor work in a plant,facility or terminal environment

Must be able to wear safety equipment as required bythe safety department for personal protection

May be at more than one job site in a day and must beable to tolerate climate changes

Physical Requirements(With or withoutReasonable Accommodation):

Must be able to lift and carry five (5) pounds

Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communicationcapabilities which permits employee to communicate effectively

Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time

Sufficient vision or other powers of observation which permitsemployee to conduct analysis and investigations

Sufficient manual dexterity which permit the employee to performroutine office duties

Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes to performoffice duties and travel when necessary to off-site locations.
