Summary
Position Overview
Tribal Health is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment working straight night shifts in a fast-paced Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will have strong emergency nursing experience, excellent critical thinking skills, and the ability to provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients of all ages.
Assignment Details
- Target Start Date: Early to Mid-September
- Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
- Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)
- Shift: Straight Nights
- Hours: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Responsibilities
- Assess, prioritize, and provide emergency nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of illnesses and injuries.
- Perform rapid patient assessments and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and other treatments as ordered.
- Monitor patient condition and respond quickly to changes in status.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, EMS, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Accurately document assessments, treatments, and patient outcomes.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and evidence-based nursing practices.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license (any U.S. state or compact license accepted)
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- TNCC
- Recent Emergency Department nursing experience required
- Strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
- Experience with electronic medical records preferred
Preferred Experience
- Critical Access Hospital experience
- Rural Emergency Department experience
- Previous travel nursing experience
