Summary
This is an excellent opportunity for nurses who enjoy a broad scope of emergency nursing while maintaining a predictable 312 weekly schedule.
Schedule
- Three 12-hour shifts (36 hours guaranteed each week)
- Shift hours: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Candidates will rotate between day and night schedules based on department needs
- The same shift (days or nights) will be worked throughout each scheduled workweek
What You Will Do
- Assess, prioritize, and care for patients presenting with a wide variety of emergency conditions
- Perform rapid patient assessments and initiate emergency interventions
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols
- Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the healthcare team
- Assist with trauma, medical emergencies, and stabilization of critically ill patients
- Document patient care accurately within the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, laboratory, radiology, and ancillary departments to ensure outstanding patient care
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
Qualifications
- Emergency Department nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certification
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency care environment
