Job Summary

As a Principal Performance Engineer, you will help solve demanding thermal and mechanical problems at the forefront of heat exchanger technology. You will guide designs through the full development cycle—from thermal sizing and stress analysis to qualification testing—while developing new solutions for evolving customer needs. Key Responsibilities

· Perform engineering calculations and computational simulations to develop design parameters and support   development activities - specifically, stress, heat transfer, and fluid flow calculations 

· Develop and execute verification plans to ensure new products meet all design requirements

· Produce high-quality documentation in support of design reviews and data deliverables

· Collaborate with designers to balance performance and manufacturability considerations

· Collaborate with project managers to identify and mitigate technical risks to plans and schedules

· Coordinate and provide technical support for qualification testing for new products

· Contributing to the establishment and adherence to engineering standards and best-practices

· Developing and maintaining analytical models and tools

· Stay abreast of the latest technologies and methods to maintain a competitive edge

Requirements:

   

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering

· 8+ years professional experience in engineering analysis and simulations



Preferred Skills and Experience

· Master’s degree or PhD in mechanical or aerospace engineering

· Experience with engineering simulations, and verification and validation thereof

· Experience with ANSYS Workbench or other analysis software package

· Excellent grasp of first principles in mechanics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics

· Experience with materials selection for mechanical design

· Ability to apply principles of mathematics and statistics to solve engineering problems

· Analytical programming experience, including data processing (e.g. Python or MATLAB)

· Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics, and technical specifications

· Excellent technical reasoning and problem-solving skills

· Excellent oral and written communication skills
