Position Summary:
The Planning / Production Clerk is an important member of the Planning team. Supporting planning and scheduling activities to help ensure the timely manufacture and delivery of aerospace products. Your impact in this role starts at the production floor all the way to our customer.
In this role you’ll assist with maintaining production schedules, process work orders, monitor material availability, update planning information in the ERP/MRP system, and more. You’ll work closely with other departments like Production, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Supply Chain teams.

- Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining production schedules and work orders.
- Review production requirements and ensure planning data is accurate and current within the ERP/MRP system.
- Create labels, work/sales orders.
- Make corrections to closed work orders.
- Monitor material availability and identify shortages that may impact production schedules.
- Coordinate with Purchasing and Inventory Control to expedite materials and resolve supply issues.
- Release and distribute manufacturing work orders, routers, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain and update Bills of Material (BOMs) and planning records as directed.
- Maintain and update filing and databases, either manually and/or electronically.
- Support engineering change implementation and ensure planning documentation reflects current revisions.
- Verify accuracy of part numbers, inventory records, and production data.
- Assist with production status reporting and schedule tracking.
- Communicate schedule changes and material constraints to appropriate stakeholders.
- Generate reports related to production schedules, inventory status, and work order completion.
- Support aerospace quality system requirements and maintain documentation in accordance with AS9100 and customer requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning and scheduling efficiency.
- Handle routine planning issues and escalate complex matters to higher-level personnel.
- As business conditions change, employees are expected to react productively and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- 1-3 years’ experience in a customer facing role like customer service, clerical, retail, or similar position.
- High School Diploma, GED or similar education required.
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, and other Microsoft applications is required.
- Experience with documentation and record keeping with a high-level of attention to detail and accuracy is required.
- Excellent customer service skills for internal and external customers.
- Advanced organizational skills including documentation and record keeping abilities.
