Portfolio Assistant/Principle in Training

Compensation: $20.19 Hourly

We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Portfolio Assistant/Principle in Training. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is designed for someone who is ready to build a strong foundation in investment products, service standards, and regulatory practices while learning alongside experienced principals. In this role, you will support transaction oversight, strengthen client service capabilities, and prepare for increased ownership as you progress through required licensing and qualification milestones.

Responsibilities:
• Participate in structured training to develop knowledge of the organization’s financial products, client support approach, and compliance expectations.
• Assist senior principals with transaction reviews to help ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to internal and regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor account activity and documentation to identify issues that require follow-up or escalation.
• Provide responsive service to clients and internal partners while maintaining high standards for accuracy and professionalism.
• Track service and operational performance using call center and portfolio support metrics to help maintain quality outcomes.
• Support day-to-day portfolio administration tasks, including record maintenance, status updates, and coordination across teams.
• Prepare for required examinations and licensing benchmarks that enable progression into a principal-level capacity.
• Take on broader decision-making and oversight responsibilities after successfully completing qualification requirements.
• Use business tools and reporting resources, including Microsoft Project Server and related platforms, to organize work and monitor priorities.

Qualifications:

• Background in banking, financial services, or a related environment with exposure to client accounts or transaction processing.
• Ability to learn complex products, procedures, and compliance standards in a structured training setting.
• Experience supporting customer interactions in a service-driven or call center environment.
• Familiarity with performance measures such as call center metrics and operational service standards.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing transactions, documentation, and account information.
• Working knowledge of tools such as Microsoft Project Server and other business support applications.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work closely with senior team members while developing independent judgment.

Compensation

$20.19-$20.19 Hourly
