Litigation Legal Secretary
Responsibilities: • Coordinate daily litigation support activities, including maintaining attorney calendars and tracking critical case deadlines. • Prepare, review, and process court filings with close attention to formatting, timing, and jurisdictional requirements. • Monitor court dockets to identify recent activity, confirm filed documents, and flag upcoming filing needs for the legal team. • Assist with the preparation and organization of pleadings and other litigation documents for attorney review and submission. • Arrange depositions and related scheduling logistics, working with internal stakeholders, outside counsel, and court reporters as needed. • Handle administrative case support such as opening new matters and maintaining accurate matter records. • Process attorney expense reports in a timely and organized manner. • Provide flexible support across the commercial litigation and trial group, including limited assistance for intellectual property-related matters when required.
The pay range for this position is 25 to 32. Benefits available to contract/contract professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of experience in a legal secretary or litigation support role.• Working knowledge of litigation procedures, court filings, and pleadings.
• Hands-on experience with e-filing in state and/or federal courts.
• Ability to read and interpret court dockets and track filing deadlines accurately.
• Strong calendar management and scheduling skills, including coordination of depositions.
• Experience preparing draft legal documents from dictation or attorney instructions is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Compensation
