Bookkeeper

Our client in Agawam, Massachusetts is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper for a contract-to-permanent opportunity. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day accounting operations, and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Assist with month-end close and financial reporting
• Manage invoicing, billing, and collections activities
• Prepare and enter journal entries
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Support payroll processing as needed
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of bookkeeping or related accounting experience
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, SAP, or similar platforms
• Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger activity
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
