Communications and Change Management Lead

Our global logistics client is seeking an experienced Change Management & Communications Lead to support multiple enterprise-wide transformation initiatives across North America and global operations. This highly visible role will partner directly with HR leadership to drive organizational readiness, stakeholder engagement, employee communications, and adoption strategies related to workforce restructuring, international integration efforts, and operating model changes.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role requiring a seasoned professional who can create structure within a complex environment, influence stakeholders, manage ambiguity, and ensure change initiatives stay on track. The ideal candidate is equal parts strategist, communicator, project manager, and problem solver who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and driving results.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead change management and communications efforts supporting large-scale HR and organizational transformation initiatives.
• Develop and execute change strategies related to organizational redesign, span-of-control optimization, workforce right-sizing, offshore team integration, and acquisition integration activities.
• Create executive communications, employee messaging, leader toolkits, presentations, FAQs, change impact assessments, and readiness plans.
• Partner with HR leadership and business stakeholders to drive alignment, adoption, and employee engagement throughout transformation initiatives.
• Establish governance, communication cadences, stakeholder mapping, and change management frameworks where processes may not currently exist.
• Support U.S., Canada, and offshore employee populations through organizational and operational changes.
• Identify risks, mitigate resistance, and proactively address change-related challenges.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to HR leadership while also functioning as a hands-on individual contributor responsible for execution.

Qualifications:

• Significant experience leading change management and communications programs within large, complex organizations.
• Strong background supporting HR transformations, organizational redesigns, workforce integrations, mergers/acquisitions, or global business change initiatives.
• Proven ability to develop executive-level communications and manage diverse stakeholder groups.
• Experience supporting global employee populations across multiple regions.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to bring structure and discipline to evolving environments.
• Comfortable operating as a hands-on contributor who can independently build plans, communications, presentations, and change deliverables.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, influence without authority, and drive accountability across teams.

Preferred Experience

• Logistics, transportation, supply chain, manufacturing, or similarly complex global environments.
• Experience supporting workforce integration across North America and offshore teams.
• Background partnering directly with senior HR leaders and executive stakeholders.
• Familiarity with change management methodologies and organizational readiness frameworks.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid, Chicago area candidates preferred. Remote candidates will not be considered.

Compensation

$55.00-$65.00 Hourly
