SVP of Operations

Our client is seeking an experienced Interim COO / SVP of Operations to stabilize and improve a high-volume warehouse and distribution operation. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can quickly assess operational challenges, establish priorities, and implement processes that improve efficiency, visibility, and overall performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and stabilize day-to-day warehouse and distribution operations in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Assess current processes, identify operational gaps, and develop actionable solutions
• Improve warehouse processes, inventory management, cycle counting, shipment visibility, and capacity planning
• Establish and monitor operational KPIs to improve performance and accountability
• Partner directly with warehouse leadership and staff to implement process improvements
• Bring structure and organization to an operation experiencing significant volume growth
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, workflow, staffing, and overall warehouse performance
• Communicate findings, priorities, and recommendations to the CEO and senior leadership team
• Support planning and execution related to a potential facility/warehouse transition

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a COO, VP of Operations, Director of Operations, or similar senior operations leader
• Strong hands-on experience managing warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment operations
• Consumer products experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated success improving operations in a high-volume environment
• Strong understanding of inventory, shipping, capacity planning, and warehouse KPIs
• Proven process improvement and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working directly with frontline teams and getting into the details of the operation
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present recommendations to executive leadership
• Experience with warehouse moves, facility transitions, or distribution center relocations is highly desirable

Location & Travel

Travel flexibility is required initially as this role will need to be highly hands-on within the warehouse.

This is an interim opportunity with an immediate need for a hands-on operational leader who can quickly bring stability, structure, and visibility to the organization.

Qualifications:

• Experience managing operations-focused projects in a logistics, supply chain, or warehouse environment.
• Working knowledge of purchasing coordination, operational workflows, and cross-functional project delivery.
• Ability to organize multiple priorities, manage deadlines, and drive progress in a dynamic setting.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Familiarity with warehouse management and logistics processes, including material flow and operational planning.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to track project performance and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Proficiency in operations management practices and project coordination methods.

Compensation

$120.00-$130.00 Hourly
