Attorney/Lawyer

We are looking for an experienced Insurance Coverage Attorney to join a growing firm. This position is suited for a lawyer who can advise on high-stakes insurance matters and deliver clear legal analysis across a range of liability issues. The role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated disputes involving policy interpretation, claim evaluation, and insurer communications.

Responsibilities:
• Analyze complex insurance coverage matters involving general liability, directors and officers liability, errors and omissions liability, and related exposures.
• Prepare detailed coverage assessments to support claim strategy and legal decision-making for insurers and other stakeholders.
• Draft reservation of rights correspondence, denial communications, and formal coverage opinions with precision and strong legal reasoning.
• Handle matters connected to construction defect claims, environmental loss issues, product-related disputes, and class action exposure.
• Provide legal guidance on challenging policy interpretation questions and disputed claim scenarios.
• Review claim files, policy language, and underlying allegations to identify coverage positions and risk considerations.
• Support litigation and pre-litigation strategy in sophisticated coverage disputes on behalf of policyholders or carriers, as applicable.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience practicing insurance coverage law.

• Background representing clients in complex coverage disputes.

• Knowledge of insurance matters involving general liability, errors and omissions liability, and directors and officers liability.

• Demonstrated ability to draft coverage opinions and insurer correspondence, including reservation of rights and declination letters.

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

• Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters with attention to detail and deadlines.

• Licensed to practice law in good standing or eligible to practice in the applicable jurisdiction.
