Receptionist
Responsibilities:
• Greet attendees promptly and provide a detail-oriented, friendly welcome upon arrival.
• Verify identification and complete the check-in process accurately for a high volume of guests.
• Prepare and distribute name badges to support a smooth registration experience.
• Manage registration flow efficiently to help keep event entry organized and on schedule.
• Offer front-desk assistance throughout the assignment and respond to visitor questions as needed.
• Maintain an orderly reception area and support event staff with general guest-facing tasks.
• Handle incoming phone calls when needed and direct inquiries to the appropriate contact.
• Remain available at the check-in station for the duration of the shift, including periods that require standing.
Qualifications:
• Prior experience in reception, front-desk support, or event check-in activities.• Ability to deliver courteous service while interacting with a large number of visitors.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods during active registration times.
• Strong attention to detail when confirming identification and issuing badges.
• Clear verbal communication skills and a detail-oriented in-person presence.
• Experience answering inbound calls or working with a multi-line phone system is preferred.
• Reliable availability for a part-time, contract-based assignment in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Compensation
