Sr. Revenue Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Revenue Accountant to support revenue operations and ensure accounting activities align with ASC 606 guidance. This Long-term Contract position is based in North Andover, Massachusetts area, and offers the opportunity to work on complex revenue matters, perform detailed financial analysis, and contribute to accurate external reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of revenue accounting principles, sound general ledger experience, and the ability to evaluate revenue trends with precision.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day revenue accounting activities and ensure transactions are recorded accurately in accordance with ASC 606.

• Review contracts and related documentation to determine appropriate revenue treatment and support consistent application of accounting policies.

• Analyze revenue results, investigate fluctuations, and explain key drivers impacting financial performance.

• Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts related to revenue, deferred revenue, and other connected balances.

• Assist with quarterly and annual reporting requirements by providing revenue-related schedules, disclosures, and supporting documentation.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve billing, contract, and accounting issues that affect revenue recognition.

• Maintain thorough supporting records and documentation to strengthen compliance, audit readiness, and internal control practices.

Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience in revenue recognition accounting within a corporate accounting environment.
• Solid knowledge of ASC 606 and its application to complex revenue arrangements.
• Proven background in revenue accounting, including reconciliations, account analysis, and period-end close support.
• Ability to analyze revenues, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
• Experience supporting SEC reporting processes and preparing revenue-related financial information.
• Proficiency in general ledger accounting and a strong understanding of financial statement impact.
• High attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage priorities in a deadline-driven setting.

Compensation

$70.00-$75.00 Hourly
