Accounting Clerk

We are looking for a detail-focused Accounting Clerk to provide part-time support for daily financial operations in Lakewood, Colorado. This Long-term Contract position offers 20-30 hours per week and is well suited for someone who enjoys keeping records accurate, organized, and up to date. The person in this role will contribute to core accounting activities while working comfortably with digital platforms and spreadsheets. Strong organizational skills, sound communication, and a careful approach to financial data will be important for success.

Responsibilities:
• Enter financial information into accounting systems with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.
• Review, code, and process invoices while helping maintain timely payment workflows.
• Support both payable and receivable activities, including tracking transactions and resolving routine discrepancies.
• Reconcile account balances and investigate variances to help ensure reliable financial records.
• Maintain organized digital documentation using tools such as SharePoint and other shared platforms.
• Prepare and update spreadsheets, reports, and supporting records for the accounting team using Microsoft Excel.
• Assist with ongoing record maintenance and other day-to-day accounting tasks that keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoice handling.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and confidence working in accounting or bookkeeping software.
• Strong data entry skills with careful attention to accuracy and detail.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for organizing, reviewing, and updating financial information.
• Ability to use digital collaboration and file management tools, including SharePoint and Google Workspace.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments in a part-time schedule.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for working effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Compensation

$26.00-$29.00 Hourly
