Application Support Engineer

We are looking for an Application Support Engineer to join a financial services organization in Woodbridge, New Jersey on a Long-term Contract basis. This position is ideal for a hands-on technical specialist who enjoys solving user issues, supporting endpoint environments, and improving day-to-day IT operations. The role combines second-level support responsibilities with device management, scripting, and collaboration across core infrastructure technologies.

Responsibilities:
• Deliver second-line technical support for end-user hardware, software, and application issues across the business
• Investigate and resolve escalated incidents, ensuring timely diagnosis and clear communication with users and internal teams
• Manage Microsoft Intune activities such as device configuration, policy administration, and application deployment
• Create and update PowerShell scripts to streamline repetitive support tasks and improve operational efficiency
• Support Windows desktop environments, including laptop setup, imaging, deployment, maintenance, and patching
• Assist with account, access, and device administration in Active Directory and Azure AD environments
• Perform foundational network troubleshooting to identify connectivity issues and support issue resolution
• Contribute to hands-on support work when needed, including Level 1 assistance and laptop build preparation
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, support procedures, and knowledge resources for recurring issues

Qualifications:

• Experience providing Level 2 or Application Support in an IT environment
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune for endpoint management and policy support
• Practical PowerShell scripting ability for task automation and administrative support
• Strong background supporting Windows operating systems and end-user hardware
• Familiarity with Active Directory; exposure to Azure AD is an advantage
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting methods
• Willingness to assist with frontline support tasks, including device provisioning and user support
• Experience with enterprise hardware and technologies such as Dell systems or Cisco environments is beneficial

Compensation

$42.75-$49.50 Hourly
