Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, and working in a high-volume environment where accounting plays a critical role in business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the monthly general ledger close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Perform complex balance sheet and bank reconciliations, researching and resolving discrepancies independently.
• Analyze financial data and investigate unusual account activity to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of the general ledger.
• Assist with external audits and year-end reporting requirements.
• Maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Partner with various departments to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Support special projects and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong month-end close experience with the ability to independently manage the process.
• Solid general ledger and account reconciliation experience.
• Proven ability to research, investigate, and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Experience in a high-volume transaction environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership with minimal supervision.
• Advanced Excel skills preferred.
• ERP experience a plus.

Compensation
