Staff Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience with general ledger accounting, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. This individual will work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Analyze financial data and investigate accounting discrepancies.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for audits.
• Assist with financial reporting and management reporting packages.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience with month-end close and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
