The admissions coordinator supports the admission activities at SHRS and works closely with the Director of Admissions, program directors, department administrators, and university and external partners. Responsibilities include application and application review platform administration, reviewing and updating admission pages on the SHRS website, communicating with applicants throughout the application process, evaluating admission requirements, facilitating application review, providing admission advising, notifying applicants of decisions, verifying provisional admission requirements are met, data entry in student information systems, and ensuring integrity of application data. The coordinator must have good people and communication skills and be detail oriented. Knowledge of University systems specific to admission is highly desirable. This is an important administrative position that requires initiative, a strong work ethic, and organizational and computer skills. The coordinator must exercise initiative as well as discretion in handling all student information. The position demands flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing job requirements. This position is a hybrid work position.


Job Summary

Coordinates the admissions process for applicants to include active correspondence with and visit logistics for prospective students. Participates in recruitment activities and projects.


Essential Functions

Communication with applicants, coordinator of admission efforts across SHRS, database management, and use of Microsoft Office.


Physical Effort

Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
