Role Summary/Purpose

The role primarily entails utilising various honing machines to manufacture the Fine Finishing/Honing of tight tolerance aircraft components to tolerances of .00005 in Dia , .00005 in Straightness / Roundness with 4 Micro Inch Finishes

Qualifications / Desired Characteristics

Honing experience desirable but not essential, training for the right candidate will be provided.
Hands on mechanical experience preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
Be able to work with minimum supervision and be able to check and verify own work (Including Self Certification Of First Offs)
Able to read engineering drawings, layouts and stage drawings
Familiar with air gauging, bore micrometers, diatest etc.
Have a high level of manual dexterity and good hand to eye coordination.
Have a high attention to detail
Be capable of inspecting and certifying own work
Be able to understand and work to process specifications
Have a methodical approach to work
Show flexibility with regard to working hours including working overtime where required
Have a positive attitude towards Health and safety
Be able to work both independently and part of a team.
